Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup

When I have sweetcorn as part of my evening meal I usually save a little to make this soup the following day. The ingredients below make about a pint of soup. If I make this for other people I open the smallest tin of sweetcorn that I can find and use the rest in something else. Everyone seems to like this soup and but they are usually shocked when I tell them how it's been made as they seem to expect it to be really complicated, and it's not.

Make a pint of chicken stock in a saucepan and add the sweetcorn. Bring it nearly to the boil and then (here's the tricky bit) break the egg into the pan and stir well so that the egg is broken up into little stringy bits. Now serve. Told you it was easy!
